Site tips and features

When you add your email to the site, you can save all your favorites, your trips and your nominations, and get them back on any device you sign in on. As we add more, it is yours there too. You don't need a password; we just email you a sign in link.

My Trip: when you find places on the site that you want to visit (whether you're in Rocky Point now, or just planning your next visit), just tap “add to my trip” from any listing. The My Trip section shows all the places you add to your trip by category.

The itinerary: you can make an itinerary from your My Trip items. Tap Itinerary from the My Trip page. Enter the dates or number of days of your trip. Then you'll see all your My Trip items, with the ability to assign them to a day of your trip. You can expand each for all the place details, get directions right from the itinerary view, and assign notes and times, and more. You can also add custom items like “beach walk”, or “Meet Jose”. Whatever you type can be a custom trip item on your itinerary.

One tap directions to places right from listing pages and your itinerary. Super useful if you use the itinerary to remember all the restaurants and places you want to go to each day you're there. Just open the itinerary, scroll to the day and item, and tap get directions.

From any listing, or from the Nominate page, you can nominate a business for Best of Rocky Point in their category. We will also run monthly mini “Best of” questions, like “Best Shrimp Tacos”, and from the listing or the Nominate page you will be able to nominate businesses for those too.

Have a suggestion for a monthly “Best of” question? Suggest it from the Nominate page and we will take a look. If you supply your email address, we will let you know if we are going to use it.

Some of the categories are huge! If you are looking for specific things, the tags and filters and the search bar are your friends. We are always improving the way tags, filters, and search are working, because it's a big part of you finding what you're looking for. Also see the cross reference filters (like showing “bars that serve food” when viewing restaurants).

Verified, owner-claimed listings with a picture show first, followed by verified/claimed without a picture, followed by unclaimed with pictures, followed by everything else. Within each of those sections, the listings rotate positions. Unless a listing is featured under a “Best of” heading, there is no other influence on where listings appear in the categories. This is to promote exploration and discovery.

Save all the places you love to your favorites. Don't forget that little taco stand, or where it was, ever. Your favorites are a great source for remembering little places around town, or for building the “must-visits” when planning your next trip with the My Trip and itinerary features.

There are places all over the site for you to correct or suggest items. We want this directory to be as accurate as possible, so any information you submit gets reviewed. Thank you for your suggestions, questions, and corrections.
