Garufa is the special-occasion room in Rocky Point and knows it. The steaks are the point, cut Argentine. The wine display is large enough to count as decor. What comes up in almost every account of the place is the service: people remember their server by name and come back asking for them, which does not happen by accident. The room is quiet enough to hold a conversation, which after a day in the sun is most of what an evening needs.
Local tips
This is the reservation for an anniversary or a last night rather than the walk-in after the beach. Parking outside is handled by someone who does it for a living.
What to order
The churrasco, and the half order if dessert is still the plan. The filet is the other steak people name. Octopus and the vegetable platter both travel well around a shared table.
