La Carreta is the small, food-truck-style operation that seafood people describe as a find. The menu is short: aguachiles and ceviche tostadas, which carry best-shrimp-ceviche-in-town testimony. Beyond that, battered fish and shrimp tacos, cocteles and quesadillas, with fresh oysters when they have them. Prices keep the regulars regular.
It is an outdoor setup: covered tables, plenty of parking, plus a waitstaff that treats regulars and first-timers the same. Respect the spice scale; it runs a full level hotter than you are calibrated for. Medium here has humbled people who thought they knew what medium meant, and the non-spicy versions exist for good reason.
Local tips
Order your spice one level below your instinct; the kitchen's scale is Sonoran, not suburban. Outdoor-only seating means a jacket in winter and an early table in summer.
