La Tóxica Beach is the sit-down side of the Tóxica name: a second-level perch over the Malecón with the main street on one side and the ocean on the other, a terrace that earns its sunset reputation, and an upstairs room with a pool table for the between-rounds crowd. The arrachera has drawn out-of-this-world reviews, the drinks stay excellent across the board, and David the server gets thanked by name so often he's practically a menu item.
Happy hour on the terrace into a sunset dinner is the play the regulars run.
Local tips
Ask for the terrace and time it to sunset; ask for David and tell him the reviews sent you. The upstairs pool table is where the between-rounds crowd goes.
