The Tequila Factory is less a shop than a one-man show with bottles: Fernando, a genuine tequila connoisseur, runs tastings that people wander into for five minutes and leave from two hours later having tried more tequila than they knew existed, chocolate tequila included, which is a thing, and a tasty one. He tells the story behind the house brand, pours whatever you're curious about, mixes drinks on request, and treats every walk-in like the afternoon's honored guest. The deal is fair too: the tasting cost gets applied to whatever bottles you buy, and you will buy bottles. Repeat visitors don't say they're going to the Tequila Factory; they say they're going to see Fernando.

Local tips

Give it a real afternoon slot, not a browse-by; the tasting is the attraction, and it's as entertaining as anything on the malecón. Your tasting fee counts toward the bottles you take home.
